Purpose: responsibility of providing information to the Native American Community through the World Wide Web. This organization will also be used to promote Native American culture, language, art, health, education, etc.
In pursuing this goal, Kcnativecommunity assumes these specific functions and others as appropriate:
· Promote Powwow’s both local and nationwide
· Promote any community building activity
· Promote all local institutions that provide services to the Native American population and facilitate as a mediator between these institutions
· Provide information on events in the Bi-state area that pertain to the majority of the Native population
· Showcase local Native American talent including artists, drum groups, recording artists, etc.
Objective. The prime objective for Kcnativecommunity.org is to strengthen the Native American Community in the Bi-state area of Kansas and Missouri.
Goals. Goals for Kcnativecommunity.org include
· Organizing and promoting a winter art fair featuring Native American Artists from around the nation
· Organizing a summer or fall powwow
· Creating an on-line art gallery where native artists can sell their goods
· Multimedia coverage of powwows that include video clips and sound
· Creation of an on-line database that covers Native American language
Scope and Boundaries. Due to time constraints and the volume of material that can be held on the website, Kcnativecommunity.org will not stray from events that impact the Native American Community. All material on the website should pertain to the American Indian Community.
Kcnativecommunity will not participate in any political wars between organizations, but rather stay neutral in an attempt to serve the community as a whole.
Kcnativecommunity.org will not support any type of new-age religion or witchcraft as these practices make a mochery of true Native American Religion. This organization will however support traditional religious practices along with Native American Christian organizations.
This organization will strive to do its best in representing the Native American Community and keep all of its content in good taste.
